Crystal Palace Enquire About Out-Of-Favour Liverpool Defender

Struggling Premier League side Crystal Palace have made enquiries into Liverpool’s outcast defender Mamadou Sakho.

The 26-year-old has been completely frozen out of Jurgen Klopp’s plans at Liverpool since a bust-up with the manager on a pre-season tour in 2016.

It was reported at the time that he missed training, a team dinner and a flight. In turn, Klopp viewed this as disrespectful to him, his teammates and Liverpool as a whole community.

Since his exclusion, the German boss has regularly stated that Sakho is no longer in his plans for the future and that nothing will change to make him think differently.

Clubs such as Inter Milan, Galatasaray, Sevilla, West Ham and Southampton have reportedly already indicated their interest in signing the French defender.

And now respected Daily Mail journalist Dominic King has reported that Crystal Palace are the latest team to make their interest known.

Throughout their current Premier League campaign, there’s no doubt that Crystal Palace have lacked strength at the back, conceding 40 goals in just 21 games.

The London side sit in 17th place in the table and they are strong contenders to be relegated to the Championship come May.

Certainly Sakho would be a great signing for Big Sam’s Eagles, should the France international plump for Selhurst Park over other suitors with his Liverpool career surely coming to an end.
