Marca have claimed that Antonio Conte is speaking with Alvaro Morata on a daily basis in order to convince the Spaniard of a move to Chelsea.
On Wednesday, Morata will have his Madrid medical before joining up with the rest of his team-mates, but fears he will not break into the side with the attacking trio of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale immovable players in Zinedine Zidane’s starting eleven.
Marca have reported that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has preyed upon Morata’s worries, calling him every day in order to persuade the forward to spearhead Conte’s attack.
Chelsea have favoured a 4-2-3-1 so far in pre-season, which could suggest that Morata will be leading the front line by himself, but Michy Batshuayi has the ability to play both off the striker and as a forward himself, so Morata should not want for support.
Morata is set for contract negotiations with Los Blancos following an impressive two-year spell with Juventus, but Chelsea have the financial means to offer the 23-year-old a lucrative deal in order to lure him to Stamford Bridge.
Cristiano Ronaldo will miss the start of the season following glory at the European Championships for Portugal whilst Gareth Bale will need similar recovery time after a wonderful tournament for Wales, so Morata should get the nod in the Super Cup final against Sevilla.
Chelsea are ready to offer €60 million.
