Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois Reportedly Buys House in Madrid Amid Shock Transfer Rumours

Chelsea’s in-form shot stopper Thibaut Courtois has reportedly bought a house in Madrid, sparking further rumours of an imminent transfer to Real Madrid.

According to the Express, Courtois is desperate for a move to La Liga to join up with Zinedin Zidane’s side, despite enjoying a runaway lead in the Premier League with Chelsea.

With 13 clean sheets so far this season, Courtois is the league leader in that statistic. However, despite the chance at Premier League glory under Antonio Conte this season, Spanish news outlet Don Balon has reported that not only has the Belgium international purchased a house in Madrid, but has also enrolled his daughter in a local school.

Real could certainly do with a form goal keeper between the sticks. Having lost their incredible unbeaten run in recent weeks and with current keeper Keylor Navas struggling, Chelsea’s Courtois would certainly be a massive addition to Zidane’s squad.

Chelsea boss Conte is said to be anxious to keep the 24-year-old in London as he fights to deliver his first Premier League title. Losing Courtois now would certainly dent his ambitions for top flight silverware.

So far there has only been rumours about the Belgian’s desires but you might well expect that with the form he is currently enjoyed, it would be no surprise if some of Europe’s biggest clubs were keen to lure him away from Stamford Bridge.
