Everton are arranging to offer Romelu Lukaku a new contract to try and keep the Belgian star at the club according to ESPN FC, crushing Manchester United’s chances of signing the prolific striker.
Lukaku looked like he was on the way out of Goodison Park a few months ago, with talk of some of the European giants such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Chelsea all trying to capture the the 23 year old.
Manchester United’s confidence of signing Lukaku was heightened also when Lukaku’s father made comments mentioning:
“I think he must choose Manchester United or Bayern Munich”.
According to ESPN FC, the bosses at Everton have promised Ronald Koeman that they will do everything they can to hold on to their top players, even with the interest from many clubs, and it seems Lukaku is one of their top priorities.
According to ESPN FC, it looks like Lukaku will be given fresh terms before pre-season, which for Everton will hopefully keep the big man at the club, and with the arrival of the highly regarded Ronald Koeman, Lukaku may be happy to stay.
