Chelsea & Milan Target Belotti’s Absence From Torino Kit Launch Adds To Exit Rumours

Torino’s Andrea Belotti is, understandably, a coveted player given the season he had in Serie A last term.

Despite playing for mid-table Torino, the 23-year-old managed to score 26 goals in 35 games for Il Toro and laid on eight assists for his teammates.

With nine caps for Italy already it seems the young striker is destined for greatness and a big move before the summer is out appears to be on the cards, with Calciomercato reporting he is open to a move to AC Milan but the 18-time Serie A champions will have to up their offer of €40 million along with defender Gabriel Paletta and striker M’Baye Niang to a staggering €80m plus the aforementioned players.

Having already invested heavily ahead of the upcoming campaign in players such Leonardo Bonucci, Andre Silva and Andrea Conti, this fee may just be that bit too steep for Milan to stomach, but reports in Italy say negotiations are ongoing.

Adding fuel to the fire of Belotti’s impending departure, however, is the fact he, one of the club’s biggest stars, was missing from Torino’s kit launch on Sunday.

News of Milan’s increasing interest could also affect Chelsea, who were said to be interested in his services, but fellow Italian Antonio Conte may now need to focus his attention elsewhere in pursuit of a striker.
