Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho couldn’t resist the temptation to have a dig at Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola during last week’s football managers’ meeting at UEFA’s headquarters, according to Spanish media outlet El Confidencial.
The two had a bitter rivalry when the Portugese was Real Madrid boss and Guardiola managed Barcelona. In response to the Spanard’s idea that the grass on football pitches should be limited to 1.5cm to encourage a quicker game the Special One mocked him saying the following.
“When you enjoy what you do, you don’t lose your hair, and Guardiola is bald. He doesn’t enjoy football”
He also implied that the Barcelona legend was fixated with his own style of football the exclusion of other approaches the game.
“Everyone has his style of play, which should be respected. Football can be spectacular in several ways.”
No love lost between the pair it seems.
