Real Madrid and Juventus do battle for the Champions League trophy on Saturday night and while there will be glory for one, the other will have the bitter taste of defeat.
For Juve, that feeling will be frustratingly familiar, as they have reached the final multiple times since their last victory more than two decades ago, only to lose all of them.
Real, meanwhile, have had their share of misfortune in the European Cup down the years too, but not since losing 1-0 to Liverpool in Paris in 1981 have they left the field in the final without winning the trophy. Since then, the Spanish giants have won the competition on five occasions, including two of the last three, and re looking to become the first team to retain the trophy in its current format.
