Done Deal: Gianluigi Buffon Completes Move To Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain have officially confirmed the signing of Italy and Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon.

The reigning Ligue 1 giants have announced that Buffon has joined their ranks after a successful medical on Friday morning, following his decision to leave Juve at the end of last season.

The 40-year-old has signed a two-year deal with PSG (one guaranteed with the option of a further season), in what will surely bring him to the end of a long an illustrious playing career.

Buffon said goodbye to Juventus earlier this summer after an extremely successful 17-year spell with the Bianconeri. Signed for €52m from Parma in 2001 (still a world record fee for a goalkeeper), Buffon would go on to play make over 650 appearances for the club, winning nine Serie titles in his time in Turin.

He joins PSG as they move on from the Unai Emery era, with new manager Thomas Tuchel taking the reins for the coming season as both player and club desperately try to land that elusive Champions League trophy.
