Fresh from winning the SPL title in his first year, a campaign in which Celtic have been undefeated up to this point, Brendan Rodgers has signed a new four-year deal with the Hoops.

The former Swansea City and Liverpool manager has made a major impact at the Glasgow giants, and the future appears to be bright under his stewardship.

The Bhoys have amassed an astounding 87 points from 31 games; winning 28 and drawing three. They are looking as dominant as they have ever done throughout this run of six consecutive league titles.

Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell spoke of his delight at the announcement.

“Brendan has made a huge impact at Celtic already. He’s an outstanding manager and we believe he is one of the best coaches in Europe, if not world football, and we’re delighted that he has committed his future to Celtic.”
