Three Strikers Set For Moves At Spurs While Pochettino Speaks On Kane To Manchester United

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has attempted to nullify rumours connecting Manchester United with a move for Harry Kane.

Last week, news broke that Manchester United had bid £40 million for Spurs star striker Harry Kane. The main stream media seemed to ignore it with the story getting relatively little press and it looks like now we know why.

Today, Spurs’ Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino sat down with the media ahead of their game against Stoke this weekend and had some things to say about the potential move.

‘I think we are confident Kane will stay. His commitment is fantastic with the club. It is only rumours, no?’

So, that’s that then? We can’t see the young Englishman going anywhere in this window but there is still a lot of change occurring in the Spurs attacking line.

Spurs are expected to complete a deal that will see Roberto Soldado sold at a loss of about £13m this weekend with the Spanish international set to be unveiled at Villareal in the coming days.

Meanwhile, ESPN are reporting that Emanuelle Adebayor is desperate for a move to London Rivals West Ham. The Togolese forward has been deemed surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane for some time. Reports in the past few weeks had suggested that the 31-year-old was on the verge of joining Aston Villa. However, it now seems that joining up with Slaven Bilić at Upton Park.

Finally, as two appear to be leaving, one is most certainly on the way. Lyon striker Clinton N’Jie has just confirmed his move to White Hart Lane on his own Instagram account.

According to L’Equipe, Tottenham will pay Lyon 14 million euros with 3 million euros in add ons while Njie himself has signed a five-year contract with the club.

In case you don’t speak French, the post essentially translates as follows;

I would like to thank all the staff at Lyon, the President as well as all the supporters and of course my team mates at the club. I would also like to thank you all for your messages of support. New chapter now begins. #Tottenham #Spurs
