Twitter Reacts As Rampant Brazil Put Argentina’s World Cup Plans In Serious Danger

Brazil moved a step closer to World Cup  qualification with a well-deserved 3-0 win against Argentina in Belo Horizonte on Thursday night.

Goals from Philippe Coutinho, Neymar and Paulinho put the visitors to the sword, maintaining new manager Tite’s 100% record and leaving Argentina with something of mess on their hands.

Edgardo Bauza’s side are, it should be remembered, still just a point off the World Cup spots (and the playoff spot now occupied by Chile) but the 2014 finalists have some serious work to to reverse the slump. La Albiceleste have now won just one of their last six qualifiers and the game against Colombia on Tuesday has now taken on an even greater level of significance.

The odds are still in their favour, but Argentina’s form simply has to improve, and quickly.
