Besiktas have reportedly made contact with Liverpool over a potential deal to sign goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
Sky Sports News have alleged that the Turkish side have entered the market for the Belgian international, with Liverpool open to selling the former Sunderland man for a reported £12m asking price.

Mignolet began last season as Liverpool’s first choice goalkeeper, but a series of underwhelming performances led to manager Jurgen Klopp giving Loris Karius the chance to swipe his teammate’s spot in the regular starting eleven.
The 30-year-old has reportedly been looking to leave Anfield this summer anyway, and that was even before Liverpool broke the bank to sign Alisson from Roma in a £65m deal earlier this month.
However, with Karius also said to be considering his options, it is not 100% certain that Mignolet will be leaving this summer. With Danny Ward having left for Leicester, one of Karius or Mignolet will likely be made to stay at the club as Alisson’s backup – it may come down to a case of whoever leaves first will see the exit door closed behind him.
Besiktas, for their part, are looking to recruit a new goalkeeper after selling Fabri to Fulham last week.
