Welcome to the Coshcast, Season 3, Episode 17! It’s El Podico!
This week we inevitably start at the Bernabeu, where the white of Madrid is no longer pure after they were comprehensively beaten by Barcelona. Rumours abound that Interpol are searching for a host of missing Real Madrid midfielders. We praise Barcelona and reflect on the fact that Florentino Perez has nearly run out of managers to appoint. Who is next? AVB? Laurent Blanc?
There’s news from Italy, where Dybala and Juventus defeat Milan – whose giant 16-year-old goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, gets a lovely cuddle from Gianluigi Buffon – and Germany, where Bayern Munich all but sew up the title after they win, and Dortmund lose.
And, of course, the Premier League. We cover Liverpool and Spurs’ destruction of City and West Ham respectively, ask why Slaven Bilic persists with Andy Caroll and find ourselves bemused by Arsene Wenger’s decision to bring on Mikel Arteta after the Gunners suffered a Coq injury.
All this, plus some comic relief courtesy of Freddy Adu’s latest sponsorship deal and the Bhutanese national team’s defensive record.
