Arsene Wenger’s ‘Transfer Grin’ Is Back As Arsenal Linked With Two Huge Names

It’s become sign of how much people are willing to over interpret any action during the transfer window in order to glean some Arsenal info.

He gave us all a cheeky smile before he signed Cazorla, Ozil and Sanchez. Could another big name be on their way to the Emirates? After yesterday’s highly impressive 6-0 win over Lyon, Arsene was asked about a new striker.

That has to be a good sign, right? Yes Arsenal fans, it’s push. But there’s a pattern emerging here. On to some more serious business though, there are two huge names being linked with Arsenal this morning.

The first, we’re all familiar with, Karim Benzema. Finally a concrete figure is being reported. £35m is the fee, pricey, but by no means excessive. The Telegraph report that Arsenal have been told in no uncertain terms that Lyon’s Lacazette is not for sale. With Benzema reportedly unhappy, they believe they can bring him in.

There’s a further twist to this story. Marco Reus. Reports are linking him with Real Madrid, if he were to go to Los Blancos, that’d free up Benzema to leave. But, hold that thought. This morning news broke of a bid from Dortmund for Roberto Soldado. If he were to join the Germans, that potentially frees up Reus or Aubemayang. Arsenal have shown an interest in both.

The Telegraph believe Arsenal want Reus. This would tie in to the links by Muzzi Ozcan, the agent who is reporting Arsenal want a German based forward. The Telegraph say it’ll take £50 million and that Liverpool are also interested. That sounds like a push, but just imagine it.

Tottenham sell Soldado to Dortmund who then sell either Reus to Arsenal or Madrid, if he goes to Madrid, Arsenal get Benzema. It could be a very good summer for Arsenal fans.
