Arsene Wenger have confirmed the first signing at Arsenal of the January transfer window – a 20-year-old plying his trade for non-league Hednesford Town in a £40,000 deal.
Naturally, the move to sign Cohen Bramall could extract groans from the masses of supporters, but going by Arsene Wenger’s raving reviews of the full-back come winger, fans could see the young starlet light up the Emirates in the coming seasons.
Bramall had been on trial with the Gunners but has now signed a deal reported to last until 2019.
The move to sign a talented and upcoming player in his position could be an astute one – current regular choice Nacho Monreal will not be able to maintain his performances at a top level forever, with the Spaniard turning 31 in February.
Kieran Gibbs could also be moving on with Crystal Palace reported to be interested.
Wenger announced the signing of Bramall to Bein Sport and told of his delight in his acquisition.
‘Cohen Brammal has signed for us. He’s an exceptional physical talent.’ Wenger told beINSPORTS.
‘I don’t think he’s ready, today, to play in Premier League but he has similarities to a young Ashley Cole.
