Arsenal Youngster Could Be Tempted By Move To Premier League Rivals [Report]

Arsenal

Euro 2016 reached its conclusion over a week ago, and it’s safe to say the transfer window is now in full swing…

For Arsenal, this week has been dominated by rumours of star studded incomings. Higuain, Lacazette, and Draxler have been among those linked with the Gunners, and fans have been pleading that Wenger closes at least one of these deals.

But what about outgoings?

Other than the possible use of Olivier Giroud in a swap deal for Higuain, news concerning exits from Arsenal has been thin on the ground.

Today though, reports are suggesting that young starlet Hector Bellerin could be pondering a move away from the Emirates.

After breaking into the first team two seasons ago, Bellerin enjoyed incredible form throughout the 2015/16 campaign. Even seasoned French international Debuchy couldn’t knock the youngster out of the team.

And those in football have noticed this; specifically, Pep Guardiola. According to Mundo Deportivo, the new Manchester City boss has targeted Bellerin as an improved option to current right-back Bacary Sagna, also an ex-Arsenal player.

Although it is well known that the Arsenal right-back is content in London, the Spanish newspaper are claiming that the thought of playing under Guardiola may be too good to turn down for Bellerin.

The former Barcelona boss was managing in Catalonia while Bellerin played in their youth teams, and the defender was disappointed to never be able to play under Guardiola, who won 7 major trophies in 3 years at Barca.

The youngster’s representatives have already been to France and Germany to assess offers from Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich so far this summer. However, it is this offer from Manchester City that really has the right-back thinking.

Given that the Spaniard is already a regular in Wenger’s squad at the young age of 21, there is no doubt the Arsenal manager will do everything to persuade him to stay in London.
