Since breaking into the Arsenal team during the 2014/15 season. Hector Bellerin has become a fixture for the Gunners at right back.
The 21 year-old has demonstrated a maturity beyond his years, taking on players with his lightening pace while remaining consistent in his defensive performances. Consequently, the Spanish defender has become one of the most highly rated right backs in Europe.
While Arsenal have benefited from his talent, they could also be about to lose Bellerin in the not too distant future.
The news comes after a number of clubs have subtly begun to register an interest in the player, following reports that contract negotiations between Arsenal and Bellerin have stalled.
The Gunners promised Bellerin a new contract back in April, but talks have only advanced slowly since then. This alerted Manchester City to his potential availability, but it would seem Barcelona remain his most likely destination if the right back does in fact leave Arsenal.
If such news wasn’t bad enough for Arsenal fans, The Star believe Barca have already told the right back that they want him to return to the Nou Camp, and could make their move in the January transfer window.
