Arsenal Vs. Middlesbrough: Team News And Fan Reaction

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has opted for three changes from the team that beat Bulgarian side Ludogorets in the Champions League, with Santi Cazorla, Kieran Gibbs and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain being replaced by Mohamed Elneny, Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi.

Cazorla’s exit from the starting eleven is an enforced one after he picked up a problem in midweek, but Monreal returns after a poor showing against Swansea resulted in Gibbs being given the nod to start against Ludogorets on Wednesday.

However, it seems the Spaniard has reacted well to his exclusion and is back in Wenger’s defence.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was handed an opportunity to impress in Europe as well, but Iwobi’s stunning form in the Premier League sees his deserved return to the left-wing.

Theo Walcott is enjoying his role on the opposite side of the pitch, and will continue on the right, with Mesut Ozil in the centre.

Supporters of the Gunners seemed pleased with Wenger’s selection.

Middlesbrough, on the other hand, have dropped Stewart Downing in favour of pacey former Barcelona player Adama Traore.

Fans of the ‘Boro were somewhat conflicted.
