It’s good news for Arsenal fans as one of the club’s main targets for the summer window has informed his team he wants out.
The Gunners have been linked with countless names already this window and one name that keeps cropping up is that of Ricardo Rodriguez. The Wolfsburg man is highly fancied by Arsene Wenger and now it looks like the transfer is moving closer as Rodriguez has told the club’s sporting director Klaus Allofs, that his future lies elsewhere.
“As we have recently gathered, it was clear. His idea is to leave us,”
Allofs told Blick amid Arsenal’s reported interest in Rodriguez, who is said to have a £19m release clause.
Rodriguez, 23, is one of the highest-rated young stars in Europe and has made 157 appearances for Wolfsburg since joining in 2010.
The Gunners have already signed Rodriguez’s international teammate Granit Xhaka this summer, who is another of Europe’s top young prospects.
