Arsene Wenger’s late additions to his Arsenal squad in August has resulted in some incredible squad depth.
Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez have become Gunners in recent days, giving Wenger much needed reinforcements in defence and attack.
Mustafi and Perez joined Granit Xhaka, Rob Holding and Takuma Asano at the club this summer and the club look ready for a title challenge after an uncertain summer.
Danny Welbeck should recover ahead of schedule for Christmas, whilst Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista will return in a couple of months to give Wenger extra options at the back.
Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny will fight it out for a place in the Arsenal team, but both are being kept out of the starting eleven by the superb Santi Cazorla, who has struck up a fine partnership with Xhaka.
Perez’s versatility means that he can operate on the right flank or up front alongside Olivier Giroud.
Elsewhere, Mustafi looks set to partner Laurent Koscielny at centre-half despite Holding’s impressive performances.
Alex Iwobi’s potential is vast and will provide strong cover for Alexis Sanchez on the left.
Such is Arsenal’s strength that Gabriel and Elneny do not even make the ‘B’ team.
