Arsenal may have to start looking at other options.
Following a transfer window that saw Arsenal ultimately improve their squad with the additions of Shkodran Mustafi, Lucas Pérez, Granit Xhaka, and Rob Holding, the Gunners have immediately been hit a set back.
According to The Sun, Kieran Gibbs could be on the verge of leaving the club after 12 years of service in search of first team football.
In recent seasons, Gibbs lost his place Nacho Monreal, and has subsequently seen his international prospects stall.
As a result, the left back is beginning to look for a move away from the Emirates, despite previously stating that he would rather fight for his place at Arsenal rather than move to a mid table Premiership club.
However, as Gibbs still had 18 months to run on his contract, Arsenal will not be in any hurry to sell Gibbs, and in any event, potential suitors may prefer to wait until he becomes a free agent next year.
