Ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Burnley this weekend there is some good news for Arsene Wenger, as the Gunners see four first team players return to training.
After a comfortable 4-0 win over Swansea last time out, the Emirates side will be looking to keep the momentum going, and Olivier Giroud, Hector Bellerin, Kieran Gibbs and Francis Coquelin will all be looking to make it into the match day squad for this important next fixture.
It isn’t all good news on the injury front however, with Wenger telling Goal.com that Theo Walcott remains sidelined:
“Bellerin, Coquelin and Gibbs are back in the group. Not Walcott. Those three should be available to be selected (and) Olivier Giroud is back in training.”
While Walcott is still an absentee, the north Londoners’ squad is looking strong approaching the last three months of the season.
Ahead of the game with Burnley, Wenger was also full of praise for Sean Dyche’s side:
“There’s a special atmosphere there (Turf Moor), they have confidence and are very efficient at home. They defend well, they do not concede goals.
“They are a top-10 team in the first part of the league. What they’ve done is absolutely unbelievable. We have to make sure they do not find the solution away from home because it’s a big game for us.”
A win for Arsenal will consolidate their position in the top four, as they currently sit two points above Man City, who face Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
