Arsenal are looking to bolster their attacking options.
Although Arsenal have yet to offload Theo Walcott this summer, Arsene Wenger already lining up a replacement for the winger according to Talk Sport.
Liverpool have been persistently linked with the England international, but have not yet made a formal offer for the player. Nevertheless, Arsenal are looking to muscle in on Chelsea transfer target, Ivan Perisic, even before Walcott leaves the Emirates Stadium.
The Croatian international has impressed at Euros, netting the winner against Spain during the group phase. As a result, Perisic has also attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund, who see the winger as an ideal replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Indeed, Arsenal had themselves made a move for Mkhitaryan, but it now seems as if the Armenian captain will move to Manchester United. Wenger was also said to have registered interest in Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez, but to no avail.
Consequently the Gunners boss has moved his attention onto Perisic. Although Talk Sport did not speculate on what Arsenal would be prepared to pay for the Croatian, last summer Inter Milan paid €16 million for his services.
