Several reports in recent days have suggested that as Jose Mourinho continues to re-structure his new team, he may look to Blaise Matuidi as a potential target.
If reports from Le Parisien are to be believed, they may face some serious competition for the Frenchman with Arsenal and Chelsea also interested.
The report adds that Matuidi is yet to receive any concrete offers and is waiting to hear from Premier League clubs. The Gunners in particular are expected to show serious interest, however, any deal will have to wait until after the 29-year-old is finished his Euro 2016 campaign with France.
With it looking increasingly likely that Mourinho will go all out for Paul Pogba, Matuidi could be left for Chelsea and Arsenal to fight over.
The midfielder bagged four goals and six assists as Paris Saint Germain claimed their fourth straight league title last year while he’s also impressed many with his performances for the national team this summer.
