It looks as if Arsenal have become increasingly active in the the transfer market.
After months of speculation, Arsenal finally appear to be making headway in the transfer market.
Although the Gunners moved quickly to sign Granit Xhaka earlier in the transfer window, outside of idle gossip and speculation, Arsenal looked on as both Manchester clubs and Chelsea stole the headlines.
However all that appears to have changed over the last fortnight. First Lyon confirmed Arsenal had in fact made a bid for Alexandre Lacazette, then came news of offers for Riyad Mahrez and Shkodran Mustafi.
Indeed, it now appears Arsene Wenger could also be looking to strengthen his midfield options further, after Calciomercato exclusively reported that Arsenal lodged a £14 million bid for Juventus player, Mario Lemina.
Although the Italian club are holding out for a bid of a little over £17 million, the 22 year old is the type of midfielder Arsenal fans have being crying out for.
While the Gabon international is said to have an explosive temper, Lemina’s size and strength enable him to dominate central midfield. Furthermore, under Marcelo Bielsa, he played as a centre back in a three man defence, underlining his versatility.
However, Arsenal are not the only club to be alerted to the availability of Lemina, with both Watford and Schalke also said to be interested.
Nevertheless,Arsenal could be looking to fill the void left by Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta.
