Three of the Premier League’s top guns including Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are heading the chase to sign Marco Reus at the end of the season.
This follows reports that the Germany international doesn’t want to enter contract talks until the end of the current campaign, according to Sportbild, referenced in the Daily Express.
The Dortmund midfielder is a target for clubs all across Europe but this English trio will be hoping to lure the talented 25-year-old away from the Bundesliga.
Reus is an all round midfield player but has a great knack of linking midfield and attack together. His ability to break the last line of midfield defence and open up teams in those areas is surely a factor in what makes him so attractive to these English clubs. As good as Reus is at taking on players he is also has a superb range of passing and is a great finisher when he gets in the right position.
Last term Reus managed 16 goals in just 30 league appearances and a further five goals in the Champions League. This prowess not only domestically but in Europe will be attractive to both Liverpool and Arsenal and something United will be considering for the future.
If he should leave Dortmund and come to the Premier League it will add a massive amount of excitement to every game he is involved in. Reus isn’t afraid to take on players and this would cause problems for defending teams not only due to his deadly finishing but his ability to bring his fellow teammates into the game.
