Edinson Cavani could be making the move to Arsenal as early as January with the North London club following on from their interest this summer.
Arsenal would have to be pay around £55 million to land the 27-year-old, making him Arsenal’s record signing should he move, according to reports in Metro.
Although Cavani’s record this season appears good with three goals in nine Ligue 1 games, the same media outlet reports he has ‘grown frustrated with the club’ since the summer.
Arsenal already have a formidable strike force with Danny Welbeck signing from Manchester United as well as Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona. Theo Walcott is set to return after the international break as well but Olivier Giroud is still out injured for the time being.
Once all these strikers are fit it makes Arsenal a potent force in attack but there would be no underestimating the difference Cavani could make to the goals tally of the Gunners should he make his way from Paris to London.
The Uruguay international scored 16 goals in 30 appearances for PSG in Ligue 1 last season as well as four goals in eight appearances in the Champions League.
With this amount of composure in front of goal it is no wonder Arsene Wenger wishes to rekindle his interest in the PSG frontman.
