Alvaro Morata is hot property this summer and having rejoined Real Madrid it seems certain he will be on the move again as the Champions League winners aim to make a healthy profit on the Spanish striker.
According to The Sun, Morata is London-bound with both Chelsea and Arsenal chasing the striker, and the Blues are reportedly in the lead.
Arsene Wenger has had a sustained interest in the striker, according to the report, but it seems Antonio Conte has the edge over Wenger having signed the 23-year-old for Juventus two years ago.
Spanish publication Marca confirmed that Chelsea had stolen a march on their rivals, with Conte now free to commence work with Chelsea upon Italy’s exit from Euro 2016, along with Morata and Spain’s departure from from the competition.
Having been rejected by Jamie Vardy, Arsenal fans will not want to miss out on another top target especially in the attacking department having been in need of a top striker for several seasons.
Chelsea on the other hand, having already signed Michy Batshuayi and now with the reported interest in Morata, could be about to move on from fan favourite Diego Costa as Antonio Conte finally begins work restoring some pride at Stamford Bridge after a disastrous defence of their title last season.
