New Arsenal signing Sead Kolasinac got his Gunners career off to a dream start at the weekend.
The Bosnian scored the equaliser against Chelsea in the Community Shield, with Arsene Wenger’s team going on to lift the trophy after a penalty shootout win.
Kolasinac, whose nicknames include ‘The Bosnian Hulk’, arrived from Schalke on a free transfer this summer. The no-nonsense defender has quickly endeared himself to his Arsenal teammates. Theo Walcott believes that Arsenal have signed an absolute ‘animal’, and that he has the right attitude to succeed (via FourFourTwo):
“Sead looks an absolute tank. He’s one tough unit to get past and I’m sure his physical attributes are going to be key to us this season.
“Honestly, he is an absolute animal. He’s incredible. I see him in the gym every day; you can just tell he looks after himself well, he eats the right food and he’s professional. You can see the power he’s got when he’s got the ball, his pace and everything. It’s beautiful to watch and he’s a great addition to the squad.”
Manager Arsene Wenger also alluded to his strength and attitude (via Goal.com):
“You have players who are pumped up in the gym, and players who are born strong, and he is the second,” said Wenger.
“I got him as well because of his attitude; the modern game doesn’t tolerate as many weaknesses anymore as it did 20 years ago. He has good talent and a strong, determined attitude supported by a strong body.”
Kolasinac is probably not a typical Arsenal signing, but Gunners fans believe he may be exactly what they need to add a bit of steel to their defence.
Adding Mustafi Xhaka and Kolasinac has really improved us physically and vocally, which has been one of our weaknesses over recent years.

Don't ask if Kolasinac is ready for the EPL
The question is: Is the EPL ready for Kolasinac??

Kolasinac is my new favourite player. Going round f*cking things up and then claiming innocence seconds later.

Given some of the transfer fees that have been forked out by Premier League clubs, Kolasinac could turn out to be the bargain of the summer.
Either way, he is sure to bring some entertainment to the Emirates for the coming season.
