Arsenal Fans Not Happy Despite Last Gasp Win Over Southampton

during the Premier League match between Arsenal and Southampton at Emirates Stadium on September 10, 2016 in London, England.

Arsenal secured a late win over Southampton thanks to Santi Cazorla’s late penalty.

After spending nearly £90 million this summer, Arsenal fans began to believe their side would be able to avoid a stuttering to the season.

Although they lost their opening game of the new campaign against Liverpool, it seemed Arsene Wenger dusted his side down following their 3-1 win over Watford.

However today it seemed that Arsenal took two steps forward and one step back against Southampton. After going one goal behind, Laurent Koscielny scored a fantastic equaliser, but Arsenal failed to capitalise on their momentum in the second half.

Despite making a number of changes, Arsenal struggled to find any rhythm and break down the Southampton defence throughout the second half.

Neither Olivier Giroud or Alexis Sanchez could inspire their side, and the Gunners had to wait until the 92nd minute to be awarded what some might regard as a fortuitous penalty.

Although Santi Cazorla converted from the spot, Arsenal fans were far from pleased with their side’s performance.
