According to the very reliable French daily L’Equipe, Arsenal have agreed a €4m fee for the double signing of Lens youth team players Yassin Fortune (16) & Jeff Reine-Adelaïde (17).
Arsene Wenger is renowned for his savvy business in the transfer market, frequently buying young talent at little cost and selling them on for astronomical figures and it seems The Gunners latest swoop is no exception.
With the signing of Fortune and Reine-Adelaïde, it appears the North London club have pulled off a major coup as Le Parisien claim that Lens wanted €10m for the pair.
16 year old Yassin Fortune was also linked with Manchester United but it seems the French connection and Arsene Wenger’s reputation for developing talent may indeed have led the youngster to choosing the Emirates over Old Trafford. He can play in midfield or further forward in support of the strikers.
Meanwhile, 17 year old Jeff Reine-Adelaïde is a gifted attacking forward and is reportedly considered one of the best young talents to have emerged from the Lens youth set up.
Reine-Adelaïde is due to play in the final of the U17 European Championships this Friday.
