Antoine Griezmann Open To Premier League Move And Calls Manchester United The ‘Perfect Club’ For Pogba

Atletico Madrid star forward Antoine Griezmann has had his say on compatriot, Paul Pogba’s, move to Manchester United and fans can’t help but get excited.

Speaking to the Guardian, the 25-year-old France international believes that Pogba’s return to Old Trafford is a good move for both player and club.

“He loves that league. Manchester is the perfect club for him. With Mourinho they are making something new.”

“I think the supporters in England won’t be disappointed. They can expect the spectacular from Paul. He deserves it. He works hard and has the talent to be such an important player.”

He also took to Twitter to mark Pogba’s return to the United team at the weekend.

Griezmann’s comments regarding United, and his public admiration for former great David Beckham have led to the inevitable question of whether he would see himself moving to the Premier League in the future.

“Yes, why not? If I am out of contract with Atlético I would ask myself that question.”

For now however the Frenchman has a deal with the Champions League runners’ up until 2021, having only this summer signed a contract extension with Diego Simeone’s side.

While happy in Spain and La Liga, it would seem that Griezmann is certainly open to a move to England and this has already led to fans from United and Arsenal, a club linked to the player earlier this summer, getting excited about the prospect of signing the in-demand goal scorer.

It is certainly clear that fans are keen on seeing Griezmann follow his compatriot to the Premier League. However, with his Atletico contract in place for another five years, don’t expect to see him lining out for the likes of United or Arsenal any time soon.
