PSV starlet Amar Catic has revealed that his dream is to play with Manchester United star Paul Pogba in an exclusive interview with Metro.
Catic, 17, has quickly risen through the ranks of the Dutch champions’ academy and clearly does not lack self-belief in his ability.
‘I’m the fastest player at PSV apart from one player in the first team, Joshua Brenet.
I’m faster than Luciano Narsingh.’
When pressed by the news outlet for the ideal player to ply his trade with, Catic let slip that he thought Pogba is a remarkable player, and that he would be his choice of star team-mate.
‘I think Paul Pogba. He could give great passes to me.
He’s technically very good so I would like to play with him.’
Catic essentially issued a come-and-get-me plea to Manchester United when asked who his favourite manager is..
‘Jose Mourinho [is my favourite manager].
He always wants to win. He’s a very good coach.
I think Manchester United will win the Premier League this season.’
Catic will be hoping to progress into the first-team at Eindhoven this season, but has his sights on England’s top flight as he desires to play in the Premier League at some point in the future.
A Dutch-Bosnian winger, Catic is an explosive right-winger with blistering pace, and at only seventeen years old, could have gargantuan potential.
It is undoubted that Manchester United will wish to see the player compete at the highest level for PSV in the Eredivisie to begin with before making a move and should allow time for the player to develop in the Netherlands.
Therefore, any attempt to sign him by the Red Devils could be halted for at least one season, perhaps more, with Jose Mourinho not notorious for his fondness of utilising youth prospects over tried and tested stars.
