Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is on a one man crusade to bring personality back to football and he may well be winning.
Who would have though Mathieu Flamini would be so organised? Perhaps it’s a common trait in defensive midfielders? Coquelin for Vice-President perhaps? His apparent leadership as well as the fact that he appears to be best friends with Mesut Ozil suggests we won’t be seeing ‘The Flam’ departing the Emirates any time soon. Mathieu knows he has a good thing going.
And despite the lack of game time, any figurehead that is willing to take control can only be good for team morale. Next up, actually producing it on the pitch after last week’s horror show against West Ham.
Poor Callum Chambers too, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has a serious track record in mugging off Chambers at every opportunity he gets.
