Watch: Celtic’s Moussa Dembele Scores With A Sublime Finish Against Hearts

Despite winning the Scottish Premiership last week, Celtic are determined to finish their league campaign on a high.

Brendan Rodgers’ side destroyed Glasgow rivals Rangers 5-0 to wrap up the title last week, leading to the hope in Hearts that the Bhoys might take it a bit easy at Tynecastle today.

Indeed, with Kyle Lafferty opening the scoring for the hosts midway through the first half, Hearts must have thought that they stood a good chance of earning all three points – though hopes of replicating the 4-0 hammering dished out in December to the newly-crowned champions would still have been fanciful.

However, this Celtic team struggle to know when they are beaten, and were level just three minutes later through defender Dedryck Boyata.

The goal of the day was still to come though, and it was to come for the visitors just five minutes into the second half. Tom Rogic lofted the ball into the box to find the unmarked Dembele. The France international showed tremendous composure to trap the ball, open his body and slot past Jon McLaughlin in the Hearts goal.

At the time of writing, it remains 2-1 to Celtic – Rodgers obviously mindful of keeping his side fresh and competitive ahead of the Scottish Cup final. Should they win that, Celtic will have claimed the domestic treble for the second year running – a fantastic achievement even in a relatively uncompetitive league such as the SPFL.
