Watch: Oxlade-Chamberlain Hits An Absolute Screamer To Send Anfield Into Raptures

Liverpool have taken a 3-0 lead in their Champions League first-leg quarter-final against Manchester City at Anfield.

It was a cagey affair in the opening minutes but it was Liverpool who struck first after Mohammed Salah blasted home a close-range effort to send the Anfield crowd into raptures.

It was a beautiful counter-attacking move which saw Salah receive the ball down the right flank where he ran at the City defence before playing in Roberto Firmino in the box. Firmino controlled the ball and saw his shot saved but he managed to toe-poke the ball to Salah who took a touch and blasted home the ball despite Vincent Kompany hoping to block the effort on the line.

However, the initial ball to Salah is being accused of offside.

There was no controversy surrounding Liverpool’s second though as as Oxlade Chamberlain blasted in a wonderful strike from outside the box.

Things got worse for City when Sadio Mane made it 3-0 to the Anfield outfit.
