There was no love lost between Neymar and the Real Madrid faithful at the Bernabeu tonight as the former Barcelona star received plenty of jeering whenever he touched the ball throughout the 90 minutes.
In fact, a late miss was greeted just as you would expect from the partisan crowd to add further misery on his return to his former rivals’ ground as his star-studded PSG side succumbed to a 3-1 defeat despite having a host of huge chances throughout the game.
They do have an away goal, however, and the game is still firmly poised for the return leg in Paris in three weeks time.
Two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and one from Marcelo with just five minutes remaining sealed the win for Madrid but there was one rather interesting moment which occurred during the game which you not have noticed.
Midway through the second half and with the game tied at 1-1, Neymar attempted to send a cross into the box only for it to ricochet off referee Gianluca Rocchi’s head.
Check it out below – it definitely looked like it hurt.
