Watch: Manchester United Lose To Brighton After Conceding Desperately Sloppy Goal

Manchester United have suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex after conceding a goal midway through the second-half.

As a result, Brighton’s Premier League status has been confirmed with just two games remaining.

It was Pascal Gross who gave the home side the lead on the 57th minute with some disappointing United defending contributing to the goal.

Jose Izquierdo dribbled the ball towards the edge of the United box and his initial attempt to cross was blocked by Matteo Darmian. However, the ball ricocheted off the Italian’s foot which allowed Izquierdo another opportunity to put the ball into the box.

He crossed the ball across the face of the goal which David de Gea seemed to get a hand to but the ball fell to Gross who smashed a header towards goal.

On first viewing, it looked like Marcos Rojo made an excellent clearance off the line but after a few moments, the referee confirmed via goal-line technology that the ball had, in fact, crossed the line.
