Roy Keane believes that the current crop of Manchester United players will throw their manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer under the bus in the same way that they did with his predecessor Jose Mourinho.
Keane was speaking on Sky Sports’ coverage of United’s clash with Manchester City which could have a huge say in this season’s title race with the blue half of Manchester currently two points behind Liverpool at the top of the table but with a game in hand.
The performances of many of United’s players have come into question in recent weeks due to the club’s slide in form and Keane believes that there are too many “bluffers” among the playing group.
“These are the same players who threw Mourinho under the bus, and they will do exactly the same to Ole. Leopards don’t change their spots,” Keane said.
“There’s too many bluffers at this club to get United back to the very top.
“Even the point that we’re talking about United trying to finish fourth shows how standards have dropped on and off the pitch.”
“It’s not up to the manager to motivate the players. You have to motivate yourself. You’ve got to be up for every game at Manchester United.
The fact that Ole has to talk about it after the game…he must be hugely embarrassed.”
"These are the same players that threw Mourinho under the bus and they'll do exactly the same to Ole." 😳
Roy Keane doesn't hold back when assessing @ManUtd's current state…😈
