Sky Release Price Details Of New BT Sports Package

Sky have released price details of their new ‘Sports Extra’ package which includes BT Sport and Premier Sports. 

The ‘Sports Extra’ package will have six channels; BT Sport 1, 2, 3, ESPN and Premier Sports 1 & 2.

Earlier this month it was confirmed that Sky would take over as the exclusive distributors of BT Sport and Premier Sports in Ireland meaning that Eir Sport will no longer show those channels as part of their offering.

The new package will be available from August 1 and it will cost €10 per month (for the first six months, €20 thereafter) for new and existing Sky Sports customers. Non-Sky Sports customers will be able to purchase the new pack for €17 per month (for the first six months, €34 thereafter).

After introductory offers, a basic Sky TV package costs €32 per month while a Sky Sports package costs an extra €40 per month after introductory offers.

This means that customers could pay up to €92 per month to have Sky Sports and the ‘Sports Extra’ package after introductory offers have expired.

Alongside Sky Sports, the new pack will give sports fans an unbeatable range of sports and for the first time they can watch every single live Premier League game (a record 233 matches) across Sky Sports, BT Sport and Premier Sports, all in one place.

The new ‘Sports Extra’ pack includes:

BT Sport

52 Premier League games
UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League
Champions Cup and Challenge Cup Rugby, plus more

Premier Sports

53 Premier League games, including exclusive Saturday 3pm kick-offs
Serie A, Eredivisie, Scottish FA Cup, plus more

While Sky Sports includes: 

128 Premier League games, including the top picks every weekend
Exclusive GAA Championship games
All 4 Golf Majors plus PGA Tour and European Tour
UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers and more
