David McGoldrick has scored his sixth goal of the season for Sheffield United as he put his side 1-0 up in Friday night’s EFL Championship clash with West Brom at Bramall Lane.
McGoldrick scored with just 12 minutes on the clock after he received a through ball and held off a defender before dispatching a cool finish into the bottom corner beyond the West Brom goalkeeper.
Considering McGoldrick used to play under Mick McCarthy at Ipswich Town, the newly-appointed Republic of Ireland manager may call upon the striker to help solve’s Ireland’s goal scoring problems which have proved costly of late.
