Bohemians Striker Ali Reghba Signs With Leicester City

Bohemians striker and Republic of Ireland U19 international Ali Reghba has signed for Premier League side Leicester City, the Dublin club confirmed today.

The 19-year-old made himself aware to the Irish footballing public when he netted two goals in his league debut away to St. Patrick’s Atheltic last season.

Reghba was a standout performer for the club’s U19 side where he scored both goals in his side’s Enda McGuill Cup final victory in addition to scoring the winner in the SSE Airtricity U19 League final away to Shamrock Rovers.

Reghba went on trial with Leicester City during the winter where he clearly impressed as he has now been rewarded with a contract with the Premier League club.

The German-born footballer moved to Ireland after he lived in Germany up until the age of six and he has been included in Tom Mohan’s Republic of Ireland squad for next month’s UEFA U19 European Championships in Armenia.

Bohs manager Keith Long said: “Everyone at Bohemians wishes Ali the very best of luck in his move and in Armenia with the U19s.

“He’s a successful graduate of our U19s and underage system and we wish him the very best for the future.”
