What a signing this would be.
Bayern Munich are being linked with Liverpool forward Sadio Mane, with the German club said to be very interested in bringing him to the Bundelsiga.
According to Sky Sports News, Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic met the 30-year-old’s agent over the weekend.
There has been no direct communication between the club and the player, though the meeting at the weekend is believed to be the beginning of a pursuit from the German giants.
Sadio Mane linked with Bayern Munich
The first one against Arsenal remains my favourite Mané goal.
The Bayern one at the Allianz was special, but the Arsenal one shone a light on what a brilliant player we had on our hands.
That celebration too…! pic.twitter.com/JdLdsqgOiF

Mane is under contract at Anfield until 2023, but talks over a possible new deal have not yet been forthcoming, with Liverpool said to be focussing on wrapping up negotiations with talisman Mo Salah. Much has been made about Salah’s future at the club, while Mane’s has slipped under the radar.
Salihamidzic said at the weekend that Bayern fans should allow themselves to be surprised by what comes in the summer transfer window.
He said: “We have to see what is possible and what is not. We have creative ideas.”
Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich?
Mane is having an extraordinary season on a personal level, having already won the AFCON with his home nation of Senegal.
He now has FA Cup and Champions League finals to look forward to, having already scored crucial goals in semi-finals of both tournaments.
While it is not looking too likely, Mane could still win a historic quadruple, all while being one of his team’s best players. That would be an excellent note to leave Liverpool on, if this transfer is to happen.
12 months ago Liverpool did not look equipped to deal with the exit of any of their stars, but given how well Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota have done at the club, perhaps one of Mane or Salah really could go this summer.
