John Terry has taken a dig at Rafa Benitez with his most recent Instagram post.
Terry took aim at Benitez while also paying respect to Jose Mourinho, both of whom managed the Englishman at Chelsea.
However, clearly Terry has far more fond memories with Mourinho than he does with Benitez, if his latest Instagram story is anything to go by.
He shared an image of himself from 2015 holding the Premier League trophy, alongside the caption: “I played every single game the season after Rafa told the club I had to go and I couldn’t play two games a week…
“I then had a phone call from Jose Mourinho telling me he was coming and I was his captain.”

This isn’t the first time that Terry has taken a pop at Benitez either, insisting that the Chelsea fans wanted him out from the moment he arrived.
He said: “It was tough, I have to be honest. When he first came, I was really looking forward to working with Rafa initially.
“The supporters never took to him and wanted him out from day one. You could say he was quite successful, we won the Europa League under him of course, but for me personally, you want to develop and learn.”
On the other hand, Terry speaks highly of Mourinho every chance he gets, insisting that he was ahead of the game when he first came to England.
“When he first arrived at Chelsea, we were doing sessions that I see managers doing now. People are just cottoning on to what he was doing back then. He was so far ahead of the game”, he said of the man once known as the Special One.
Terry is currently working as a coach with the Chelsea underage teams, and is reportedly eager to get into first team management.
