He has a really difficult decision on his hands.
Caoimhin Kelleher has had a season that no other player at the top level can ever say they had.
While being the clear second choice to Alisson Becker at Liverpool, you could make the case that he has had a more iconic moment than the Brazilian, or the rest of the Liverpool team.
Not only did he start in a domestic final, but he scored the winning penalty in it, before going back to being second choice just a week later.
It’s a crazy life, that of the second choice keeper, but Kelleher is one of few in the world who has seen their stock rise through the roof while playing one in every 10 games.
Alisson has shown throughout the course of the Premier League season that there isn’t anyone better than him in the world, and at 29 years of age, Liverpool have got a few years of his prime left.
A Champions League win tonight could be the perfect way for Kelleher to exit the club. A cup treble, one which he more than played his part in, and a season that will be talked about forever more.
We’re not suggesting that Kelleher needs to leave the club permanently, as being Liverpool No. 1 could be his long-term goal, but a loan move might be the best way of figuring out how good he really is.
Caoimhin Kelleher’s future
Klopp might not want to lose him, even on loan, as he has been such a reliable keeper to rely on, but sooner or later Kelleher may start thinking about himself.
Is he happy to play second fiddle at the best team in the world, or does he fancy going out on his own to get a full season’s worth of action?

Will he ever become Ireland’s No.1 if he is sitting on the bench for 75% of the season, at least? By the same token, will he ever win as many trophies if he leaves Liverpool?
No matter what his decision is, we don’t think we could blame him either way.
