Arsenal linked with three Manchester City players

Three wise purchases, though one seems less likely than the rest.

Arsenal are being heavily linked with three Manchester City players – Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Raheem Sterling.

Mikel Arteta has a close relationship with Man City and Pep Guardiola, having worked under him as an assistant for years.

As a result, City and Arsenal could well be doing some business this summer, with the three players named above all being linked with the London club.

Jesus has been linked with Arsenal for a couple of months now, most likely since it was made known that Erling Haaland was making his way to Manchester.

City have less of a need for a striker now that Haaland is on the way, though it should be noted that a lot of Jesus’ best performances this season came from the RW position.

Jesus’ form towards the end of the season was excellent, to the point that he would cost a pretty penny if Arteta does fancy bringing him to the Emirates Stadium.

Zinchenko would be a smart signing for Arsenal, given his talents and his versatility, and it feels like one they could potentially get over the line. He can play in a number of positions, and has shown for Ukraine that he is a leader in the dressing room.

Given Arsenal need players like that, especially given they will have Europa League football to worry about next season, and their squad is not currently deep enough.

Sterling would be the least likely deal to get over the line, as it is believed that he is determined to play Champions League football next season, no matter where he goes.

Arsenal are likely to have to overspend on players this summer after they missed out on Champions League football at the end of the season. More on that here.
