Bristol City are set to sign Mark Sykes from Oxford United
Ireland squad member Mark Sykes is undergoing a medical at Bristol City ahead of a permanent move to the Championship side.
Skyes will leave Oxford United, where he spent the last three and a half years, to sign a three-year deal at Ashton Gate.
A report from the Oxford Mail says that Sykes joins the Robins on a free transfer after visiting their training ground for discussions last week.
The 24-year-old made 40 League One appearances this season and scored eight goals from midfield.

Bristol sign Mark Sykes.
Sykes was called up to his first Republic of Ireland squad in March when Stephen Kenny’s men took on Belgium and Lithuania.
Despite representing Northern Ireland at underage level on numerous occasions, the Belfast man declared for the Boys in Green in 2020, simply explaining: “I see myself as an Irish person and the right thing for me to do was to represent Republic of Ireland.”
Although Sykes failed to make his Ireland debut in the March window, international involvement would have done his reputation no harm and he now moves up a division ahead of the 2022/2023 season.
Congratulations to @ConnorRonan10 & Mark Sykes on their first call-up to the Ireland squad 🇮🇪
