Mick McCarthy has confirmed that Alan Judge broke his wrist during the Republic of Ireland’s draw with Denmark. McCarthy’s side claimed a valuable 1-1 draw against the Scandinavian side in Copenhagen, and Judge played a big part in the result.
The Ipswich Town midfielder came off the bench to set up Ireland’s equaliser, curling a wonderful free-kick into the box for Shane Duffy to power home a header at the back post. Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg had earlier opened the scoring for the hosts.

Speaking to RTE following the final whistle, McCarthy confirmed that Judge had suffered the injury. He also praised the performance of his team and Duffy in particular.
