Despite being just ten years old, FC United of Manchester have secured promotion to the Conference North.
The club was founded after a large portion of Manchester United fans voiced their concerns over the Glazers’ ownership of the Red Devils and decided they had no choice but to set up their own football club.
In a world where clubs are supported by rich sugar daddies, FC United of Manchester is owned entirely by the fans and as a result, has a tribal following that are among one of the most passionate in English football.

The team, managed by Karl Marginson, have set their eyes on the Football League following Tuesday night’s heroics. Safe to say he was pleased with the promtion..
Speaking to The Guardian, ‘Margy’ had this to say:
“The Football League is possible. Most clubs would give anything to have the size of support we have. There will be obstacles to overcome but we have proved to be capable of that over the last 10 years.”
The historic moment when FC United’s promotion was confirmed was caught on camera and it’s easy to see how much it means to all involved. Incredible celebrations.
Their success even made the front page of the Manchester Evening News.
