Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is set to sign a new contract with the club, when he returns from international duty with Belgium.
The stopper looks to have beaten former incumbent Petr Cech to the number one goalkeeping spot and has now been rewarded for his performances. Courtois was pivotal to Atletico Madrid’s triumphant league campaign last season and also led the club to the Champions League Final. The Belgian will be hoping to replicate last season’s success by doing the same with Chelsea this year.
A new contract can only inspire more confidence into the goalkeeper who, at just 22 years old, has already established himself as one of the best stoppers in the world.
